The Library charges for damaged or lost items.

Patrons will not be able to check out any new items if there are account fees over $25 or if there are long-overdue (28 days) items. Patrons can pay fees with cash, check, or credit/debit card in-person at the Welcome Desk or with a credit card through their online account.

Interlibrary Loan

Cardholders at The Urbana Free Library can use interlibrary loan to borrow up to 10 books and articles from outside of the CU Catalog.

The Library charges $5 each for books or articles loaned by out-of-state public libraries and $20 each for books or articles loaned by out-of-state academic libraries, special libraries, and in-state libraries known to charge.

Interlibrary loan items cannot be renewed online. Call or visit the Library for renewal options.
