Web Accessibility Statement
PURPOSE
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), The Urbana Free Library is committed to making its website accessible to the widest possible audience.
ACCESSIBLITY
The Library’s website makes use of industry-standard techniques and preferred practices to provide the highest possible level of website accessibility. These include, but are not limited to, the characteristics of usability for screen reader users, keyboard-only users, users with low/impaired vision, users who are deaf and users who are colorblind. The Library also conducts a monthly evaluation and update of the website to advance ADA compliance, as recommended by Serving Our Public 3.0: Standards for Illinois Public Libraries.
Due to current technology constraints, there are some instances where we are unable to provide information in an accessible format (e.g. financial reports). We will monitor these areas of our website and will develop accessible solutions as technology improves.
If you have difficulty accessing information on the Library’s website, please contact us and we will work with you to make the information available.
FEEDBACK
The Urbana Free Library welcomes your feedback and suggestions as we strive to improve the website.
