Come to the Library with your baby and enjoy songs, books, and rhymes!

In this program for our youngest library fans, you'll find that it's never too early to learn to love songs, books, and rhymes. Join Library staff to interact with your baby in a supportive and playful atmosphere.

Program Details

   When: Every Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. - 10:25 a.m.
   Where: The Lewis Auditorium, Ground Floor
   Age Group: Children from birth to age 2, with their caregivers.
   Registration: Registration is not required, please drop in!
 


crafty talesCrafty Tales

Enjoy music, books, and a fun craft at the Library!

Join us for Crafty Tales, a story time for young children from ages 2-6. We practice early literacy skills in a playful, supportive environment filled with music, rhymes, active learning, and of course, books! After the story time, we also facilitate a fun craft with all supplies provided.

Program Details

   When: Every Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
   Where: The Lewis Auditorium, Ground Floor
   Age Group: Children ages 2-6, with their caregivers. 
   Registration: Registration is not required, please drop in!
 


TOLTeen Open Lab

The Teen Open Lab has something for everyone!

The Lewis Auditorium at The Urbana Free Library becomes the Teen Open Lab most Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Music recording, 3-D printing, sewing, reading, drawing, crafting, gaming, film-making, or just hanging out.

   Age Group: Teens
   When: Every Tuesday-Thursday, 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
   Where: The Lewis Auditorium, Ground Floor
   Registration: Registration is not required, please drop in!

Learn English or improve your reading and math skills!

Free tutors are available most Mondays to help adults who are learning English or working to improve their reading or math skills. Stop by for a cup of coffee or tea and a chance to work with a friendly and helpful tutor.  

Co-sponsored by The Urbana Free Library and Project Read.

   When: Every Monday, 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
   Where: The Lewis Auditorium, Ground Floor
   Age Group: Adults
