Hands-on Literacy, Math, and Science Kits
Kinesthetic learning (movement) and tactile learning (touch) are two learning styles that can be used to complement visual and auditory learning.
The Library has hands-on literacy, math, and science kits that will support these additional learning styles. Designed primarily for children in preschool and elementary school, each kit comes in a clear plastic backpack and includes activities and resources to help teachers and caregivers create and share learning experiences.

Hands-on Science Kits were made possible through a gift from Glenna Spitze in memory of Megan Spitze.
Theme Kits
Geared toward educational uses, Theme Kits contain hands-on items that aid in teaching a wide range of early learning topics. Teachers and parents alike will find these kits to be a fun and sensory-filled way to introduce common themes such as space and transportation.
