The Champaign County Historical Archives, housed within The Urbana Free Library, accepts donations of special collection materials documenting the history of Champaign County.

Foundation
The Library encourages donations to The Urbana Free Library Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) organization. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible.

Friends
The Friends of The Urbana Free Library is not accepting book donations at this time. Donations will resume after construction is complete.

Library
The Foundation is the official fundraising and charitable arm that supports the Library. To ensure proper stewardship, transparency, and donor care, all accepted donations—including monetary and in‑kind—are received and managed by the Foundation. You can donate online or write a check out to The Urbana Free Library Foundation. Checks can be dropped off or mailed to The Urbana Free Library, 210 W. Green Street, Urbana, IL 61801. Gift-A-Book
If you would like to help purchase a library book in memory or in honor of someone or on behalf of an organization, please fill out this form and mail your donation to The Urbana Free Library, 210 W. Green Street, Urbana, IL 61801. Your Gift-a-Book donation includes a staff-selected book for the Library collection and a personalized book plate acknowledging your gift.

- $25 for a book in the children’s collection
Board Games
The Library accepts new or like-new donations of current board games. Follow these guidelines to donate.
Physical Donations
The Library does not accept physical item donations without the Development Manager's prior approval. If you have an item you think the Library would be interested in acquiring, please email development@urbanafree.org.
