Meet Bing the official mascot of the Air Service Mechanic's School at Chanute Field dated November 3, 1921.
Labeled on the photograph as the parachuting dog, Bing does not look too pleased about his upcoming fate.
Earlier this year, Chanute Air Museum announced that the 21 year old museum would be closing its doors in December. You still have a few months to experience Chanute Air Force Base's history and artifacts on the former grounds of the base. Plan a visit and while there offer a salute to Bing.
