After twenty years, Carolyn Adams has decided to retire from the Champaign County Historical Archives. Her last day will be Sunday, March 3. Throughout her years of service to us, she cheerfully helped any and all who walked through our doors. Her knowledge of genealogical resources was unsurpassed, and she shared it with everyone. Indeed, she taught the Introduction and Intermediate Genealogy courses for the Parkland College Community Education for several years, and she remains an active member of the Champaign County Genealogical Society. An integral part of the Archives team, she saw and assisted with a great deal of change, including moving the entire department from the basement of the original library building to the second floor of the new addition. Anyone who approached her for help left wiser and with a greater understanding. Her contributions will be greatly missed. Stop by the Archives and wish her well this weekend!
