FamilySearch, a genealogy organization operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has recently announced that its microfilm distribution services which provided convenient access to billions of birth, marriage, death, census, land, and court records from over 130 countries, will be discontinued on September 1, 2017.
The last day for ordering microfilm is August 31, 2017. The Champaign County Historical Archives remains a FamilySearch affiliate library, and loaned microfilm can still be shipped to us for viewing on our microfilm readers until the end of August.
