September is National Library Card Sign-up Month

The Urbana Free Library is joining with the American Library Association to raise awareness of the value of public libraries and the many things you can do with a library card.

Today’s public libraries go beyond books.  The Urbana Free Library has CDs and vinyl records, video games, DVDs, audiobooks and eBooks, and board games. You will also find the unexpected, such as a 3D science collection, a music equipment collection, hands-on kits to explore STEM-related concepts, and a new craft and productivity collection.

If you don’t have a library card, sign up for one!  If you have a library card, help spread the word about the many things you can do with your card in person and online.

The Urbana Free Library is located in the heart of downtown Urbana and is open seven days per week. You also can find Library staff when they visit different locations in the community for on-site library card sign-up, such as the Market at the Square and the Urbana Food Truck Rally

The Library would love to visit your group, organization, or business.  Email the Adult & Youth Services Department or call 367-4405 and we’ll be happy to arrange for a visit. We look forward to sharing the great things the Library has to offer.

Success starts at The Urbana Free Library—in person and online—and we hope to see you soon!
