In Brown Girl Dreaming, author Jacqueline Woodson shares how her love of words and writing stories began when she was young. Do you know a young person who likes to write and/or illustrate their own stories? Encourage them to join Write On! next Friday, September 21. We’ll meet once a month to create and share (only if you want to!) our stories and encourage each other. Each meeting will start by listening to a story together and then using that as inspiration for writing/creating. Want to register? Just follow this link. As with all Library programs, no library card is required and it is free. Hope to see you there! -Elaine B.
P.S. For even more writing fun, keep an eye out for the NaNoWriMo Young Writers Program starting October 22!
