I find that I am often drawn to interesting alphabet books, and ABCs from Space by Adam Voiland is no exception. The author has selected images taken from space that exhibit letter-like shapes. Voiland deepens the impact of the story by sharing the process of selection at the beginning, and then detailing the earthly locations at the end, as well as the kind of lighting used to take the photographs. Preschoolers enjoyed guessing the letters during storytime on Thursday, while older students would be hooked by finding out more about space photography and considering the world from a different perspective. -Elaine B. p.s.
