Great Children's Programs in June

Cover Image of "Horses" bookThe Urbana Free Library Children's Department has many awesome programs lined up for kids this June. First up is "March with Gandhi (with Alice)" on this Thursday. Children's Author, Alice McGinty, will be here to present here new picture book on Gandhi which has received wonderful reviews. Calling all horse lovers! On Tuesday, June 11, miniature horses will be at our Library for "Read to the Horses". And, on Saturday, June 15, you can make your own puppets and create your own short play at our "Shadow Puppets" program. En Garde! Come to the "Point Fencing Club" demonstration on Tuesday, June 18. Do you like snakes? Great! Anita Purves Nature Center is bringing snakes and turtles to the Library for "Slither and Crawl" on Wednesday, June 19. And, if you like birds, come to "Wild About Birds" when UIUC Wildlife Medical Clinic will be bringing their "bird ambassadors" on Thursday, June 20. "Explorers Unite" on Friday, June 21. And, experiment with optical illusions and art at "Art Lessons for Children"  on Saturday, June 22. Want to exercise and relax? Then, come to "Ommm! Yoga for Children" on Tuesday, June 25.
