Fairy Tales

Fairy Tales

Fairy Tales Everywhere!

The Fairy Tales have taken over the Library!  This is the week of the Library's Fairy Tale Ball so it seems appropriate to highlight some of the young adult section's fairy tales and myths.  You'll find old favorites and re-imagined tales from across the globe!

I tend to read fairy tales all year long, because I really enjoy reading clever adaptations of the classic tales.

World Folk Tales and Fables Week

March 16-22 is World Folk Tales and Fables Week.

Why is this important? Folk tales and fables are stories rich with cultural detail that have been passed down through generations, often orally (until someone finally wrote them down). The original teller is often unknown, the tales morphing as they stretch across countries and continents.

Lunar Chronicles!

Disappointingly, we still have to wait until November to read Winter, the final book of the Lunar Chronicles series.
