There are two different categories of job postings at The UFL:
These positions generally have a higher level of hiring activity than other positions in the Library, and the Library will accept applications for them on an ongoing basis in order to maintain an applicant “pool.” These hourly positions do not include benefits. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications for the positions and who pass the required skills test remain active for six months from the date received by the Library. There may not be current openings for hourly positions at any given time. Applicants will be contacted directly if an interview is desired.
Open testing for hourly Circulation Clerk and Shelver/Barista positions will be offered regularly. Tests begin promptly at 1:30 p.m., and no one may be admitted once the doors are closed. You must have a completed application on file in order for your test to be graded and to be considered for open positions. Applications may be submitted to the library’s Administration office or may be brought to the open testing and submitted then.
Testing dates for 2015:
Sunday, May 31
Sunday, June 28
Sunday, July 26
Sunday, August 23

Posted vacancies have a specifically identified application deadline. The vacancies in this category may include full-time or part-time positions (that include employer-paid benefits) or hourly (that do not include employer-paid benefits). Applications for posted vacancies remain active until the conclusion of the recruitment activity for that specific position. Some posted vacancies also will require applicants to pass skills tests as part of the hiring process, and arrangements will be made for such testing. Interviews are generally scheduled within 14-21 days of the application deadline. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of the recruitment process for the position. Applications for positions with a specific application deadline must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date.
