You can renew items in person, by calling Circulation Services at 217-367-4057, or by accessing your account online. Except for Kits, any item may be renewed unless it is requested by another borrower.

You will not be able to check out any items if there are fees higher than $5.00 on your account.

Interlibrary Loan

Urbana Free Library cardholders can use interlibrary loan to borrow books and articles from outside of CU Catalog.

The library charges $5.00 each for books or articles loaned by out-of-state public libraries and $20.00 each for books or articles loaned by out-of-state academic libraries, special libraries, and in-state libraries known to charge.

Late fees for books loaned from outside the CU Catalog are 20¢ per day.

Supplemental Delivery to Clark-Lindsey Village, Canterbury Ridge, and Prairie Winds Retirement Communities

Library cardholders who live in Clark-Lindsey Village, Canterbury Ridge, and Prairie Winds may also use our supplemental delivery service. With this service, you may either visit the library and check out materials here, or place items on hold through the online catalog or over the phone and we will deliver them to you once a week.

If you already have a library card from The UFL and would like to be added to the supplemental delivery list, please call Circulation Services at 217-367-4057.

If you do not yet have a library card, stop by Circulation Services on the main level of the library to register. Information about The Urbana Free Library and library card applications are also available from the activity director of your retirement community.
