Making books and electronic sources more accessible
for people with limited vision, hearing, or mobility
Making use of the Library and its collections easier
Here is a list of the Library's Assistive Technology equipment and where each piece is located in the building:
The Urbana Free Library is located at 201 West Green Street - the corner of Elm and Race Streets in downtown Urbana. The Library is on most MTD bus routes.
An accessible entrance is on the south side of the building, at the main entrance. This ramp has automatic doors and a elevator.
Funding for the equipment was provided by a grant from the Illinois State Library, a Division of the Office of the Illinois Secretary of State, using federal LSTA funds.
