Know Your Muslim Neighbor (KYMN)

Know Your Muslim Neighbor (KYMN) is a family friendly event where local community comes together in the celebration of diversity and unity. These public events provide an opportunity to meet new people, try new experiences, taste new food, and enjoy conversation with local Muslims. Hosted in public spaces and libraries in the Champaign-Urbana area, KYMN offers hands on Islamic art, activities for children, Henna hand painting, a poster exhibit on the history of Muslims in early America, and short presentations.

Earth Day Recycled Crafts

Come celebrate Earth Day a little early and make fun crafts from recycled materials. Let's get crafty while helping the environment!

This is a drop-in program for families.

Let's help change our world through intentional kindness and make ceramic hanging wind chimes. Be Kind Illinois, which is part of the Ben's Bells Project, is calling on young artists to participate. (CANCELLED)

Prairie Breezes presents Bones Jugs: A Boneyard Arts Festival Event

Bones Jugs presents an eclectic spin on American styles from bluegrass to ragtime. The band may feature xylophone, banjo, guitar, upright bass, jug, bones, clarinet, kazoos, whistles, horns, and washboard.... Good for listening, dancing, and foot tapping!

Prairie Breezes concerts are on the first Saturday of most months and are generously sponsored by Peggy and Bob Podlasek in memory of Greg Bliss.

Tenth Annual Fairy Tale Ball! ~ A special after-hours event!

Come one, come all to the Fairy Tale Ball!

Adventure and excitement await! Fairy tale lovers of all ages are invited to an evening of stories, crafts, games, and entertainment. Don your shiny suit of armor, sparkly ball gown, or dress like your favorite fairy tale character and join us for an evening of fantasy and frivolity.

Royal performers and activities include:

Clothespin Puppets Show, 2nd Floor – 6:30 and 7:45 p.m.

Going Batty for Bats!

Come learn about one of the largest groups of mammals on earth. Members of the Sears Lab at the University of Illinois will be on hand to share photos, videos, and hands-on activities.
