Storytime at Prairie Fruits Farm

We are going to be doing a storytime about goats and farm animals at Prairie Fruits Farm. We'll also see a real baby goat! This is a working farm with dairy goats, chickens, and farmland.

May the 4th Be With You Craft Program

Leave your light sabers at home and bring your Jedi craft skills to the Children's Department for some Star Wars themed crafts. We will have paper cube characters you can make and Star Wars coloring sheets.

Free Comic Book Day Superhero Academy

To celebrate Free Comic Book Day come sharpen your superhero skills. Save the city, lift weights with ease, and pick your own free comic! Come in costume to enter the costume contest!

Mother's Day Story Time

Let's celebrate moms on their special day with stories and songs. We'll also make a special card for you to give to your mother.

First Friday Event: Comic Books!

Celebrate all things comic at this Imbibe Urbana First Friday event! Come read your favorite comic to yourself or your children. We'll also have coloring pages for those who want to color or draw their favorite superhero!

The first 25 people to stop by will receive a free comic in preparation for Free Comic Book Day on Saturday! We'll have more activities then!

The Library will be open until 8:00 p.m. for this special Imbibe Urbana event!

Know Your Muslim Neighbor (KYMN)

Know Your Muslim Neighbor (KYMN) is a family friendly event where local community comes together in the celebration of diversity and unity. These public events provide an opportunity to meet new people, try new experiences, taste new food, and enjoy conversation with local Muslims. Hosted in public spaces and libraries in the Champaign-Urbana area, KYMN offers hands on Islamic art, activities for children, Henna hand painting, a poster exhibit on the history of Muslims in early America, and short presentations.

Earth Day Recycled Crafts
