Impatient for the latest news commentary or fashion magazine? Do you enjoy recipes, hobbies, or popular culture? For many years, the library has provided hundreds of fascinating and information-packed magazines in glossy, paper format. Now your library is pleased to offer unlimited online access to many of these titles and more.

With your Urbana Free Library card and our partnership with Zinio Digital Magazines, issues are available 24/7. You can read them online cover-to-cover, download them to your computer, or use apps to display your choices on your tablet or mobile device. No more waiting. You can keep your choices as long as you want! Subscribe to titles so you’re notified when new issues are available.

Our librarians have selected almost 100 of your favorite popular magazines, including Consumer Reports, Dwell, Newsweek, and Smart Money. We’ve also added titles new to the library, such as Do It Yourself, the Food Network Magazine, and Juxtapoz Art & Culture

Get Started

  • You will need to complete two steps to activate your Zinio access. One to create your account and one to set up your online Zinio viewer.
    • Use the same email address and password for each.
  • Use your library card number to log in and create an account.
    • Zinio (aka RB digital) will send you an email, which you must confirm to activate your account.
  • Create and log in to your personal Zinio Viewer account.
    • This option will appear after you select your first magazine.
    • When registering the viewer account, under personal preferences, you will get an option to update your email account. This will allow you to receive notification when the new issues of your selected magazines are available.
  • After you’ve completed these two steps, you will be able to read your magazines online.
  • If you decide later that you want to download the magazines to your computer or your handheld device, additional apps and software are available for you on the Zinio Viewer website.
