Have you ever lost something in your house, like a pin or a feather? Maybe you have Borrowers living with you. Borrowers are very small people who use the things they borrow to live. Your pin might be a picture on a Borrower's wall or your feather might be a fan.
It is interesting how the Borrowers use things from our world. Also the friendship between a human child and a Borrower family is very appealing. People with imagination would like this book.

Dealing With Dragons
by Patricia C. Wrede.
Cimorene is a princess who wants to be different.
She finds a dragon cave. She becomes princess of the female dragon
Kazul. As a princess for a dragon, she cooks, cleans, and organizes
things for the dragon. Kazul is a nice, intelligent dragon. Kazul
and Cimorene get along very well together and help each other.
Cimorene finds that Woraug -- a mean dragon -- is planning with
the Society of Wizards so he can become the next King of the
Dragons. If he does become king, he will give the wizards the
King's Crystal so the wizards can get anything they want. Woraug,
with the wizard's help, poisons old King Tokoz. Then the competition
to be king starts. The competition is to carry the Colin's stone
from the Ford of Whispering Snakes to the Vanishing Mountain.
If a dragon holds the Colin's Stone, it will vibrate. The dragon
destined to be king will not feel anything and the stone will
feel light. During the competition, the wizards cast a spell
on a pebble that linked onto the Colin's Stone to help Woraug
win. Cimorene arrives in time to break the spell and melt the
wizards. Woraug fails to be King. To Cimorene's surprise, Kazul
becomes the new king. I could not stop reading this book! I almost
never put it down.
