These small, easy chapter books (there are 13 so far in the series) are actually little snippets from the little house series separated by subject. In Laura and Mr. Edwards, eight incidents involving Mr. Edwards were culled from the Little House series and put into this book. The language is almost word for word, although some longer sentences are split in half and a few words are left out. All in all, a great introduction to the Little House series for those intimidated by the size of Little House in the Big Woods.
