Tax Assistance and CounselingVolunteer Tax Assistance, Senior Services of Champaign CountyThis service is available in February, March, and April of each year. Call Senior Services at (217) 328-3313 to get a complete list of help sites and times, or to arrange a home visit. Lincoln Square Village serves as one help site (schedule forthcoming). This free service can answer most of the tax issues faced by middle- and low-income taxpayers, 60 and older. Volunteers are trained by the IRS, through a Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) grant.
