Collection Highlights

Local Music

One of the great things about living in a college town like Urbana is the wealth of cultural opportunity available.  Yes, some of these come to town from afar, but many are home-grown.  The local music scene, for example, is incredibly rich and diverse.  If you want to listen “live” you will have to make choices and some wonderful music will be missed.  Luckily, The Urbana Free Library has a long-standing commitment to collecting local music: the collection will help you to relive great musical moments and fill in any gaps in your world of aural delight! You can view the library's collection of local music in CU Catalog.
