National Teen Lock-In!

What do Michelle Gagnon, Claudia Gray, and Marissa Meyer all have in common? (Beyond being awesome authors!)

They’ll all be visiting the library virtually on Friday, August 1st, during the National Teen Lock-In! YAY!!!!!

On Friday night from 6:30-10:30 p.m. in the Lewis Auditorium, come join Amber and Joel, the teen librarians, at this late-night event! Since this program is after-hours, be sure to head around to the Elm Street entrance of the library across from Busey Bank. We’ll have signs up to help you find your way!

We’ll kick off the night with the first round of five minute-to-win-it games, then we’ll video chat with Michelle Gagnon, Claudia Gray and last but not least, Marissa Meyer. In-between each author will be additional rounds of minute-to-win-it games, with fun tie-breakers at the end of the night.

Michelle Gagnon is the author of the new PERSEFoNE trilogy, Don’t Turn Around, Don’t Look Now, and Don’t Let Go (to be released in August 2014).

Claudia Gray is the author of the ever popular Evernight series and the new Spellcaster series.

Marissa Meyer is the author of the hit fairytale Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter (to be released in November 2015).

Not into the authors, or minute-to-win-it games? We’ll also be participating in a nationwide Minecraft event, so you can play on a shared server with other teens across the nation!

Also be sure to join us tomorrow, July 18, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Lewis Auditorium for the 4th Annual Manga Mini-Convention. Mix and mingle with others who enjoy manga--come dressed as your favorite character for the costume contest, and test your memory with manga trivia!

We hope to see you there!

-Amber
