Blues Fans! Check out the latest from Duke Robillard! Recently of Bob Dylan’s touring band, Duke Robillard is an accomplished student of classic American blues and a formidable guitarist. Aside from Dylan, Robillard has backed other luminaries such as Tom Waits, Dr. John, and John Hammond. His latest offering, Independently Blue highlights his awesome guitar playing as well as his soulful vocals.

 

Billie Joe Armstrong (of Green Day) and Norah Jones (from your parents record collection) have teamed up to make an Everly Brothers covers record entitled  Foreverly. If it seems random, it sounds great!

 

 

 

 

Tom Harrell- Born in Urbana, Tom Harrell has enjoyed a long career as a critically acclaimed and Grammy award winning jazz flugelhornist/trumpeter. His latest record, Colors of a Dream, also has one of the coolest covers in recent memory.

 

Xrey guitar- Did you see Del Rey perform during the folk and roots festival? Then you’ll want to hear this- and if you didn’t see her, you should check this out. An outstanding fingerpicker, she has been described thusly by Folk Roots Magazine:
