Listing of items indexed
The Historical and Genealogical Index contains indexing for a wide variety of materials pertaining to Champaign County history and genealogy.
At the present time, the Index is organized under eight categories. They are:
- 00 Published materials (Cataloging-level entries)
- 01 Image files
- 02 Newspaper resources
- 03 Archives records groups
- 04 County official records
- 05 Non-periodical published materials (Indexing-level entries)
- 07 Federal Censuses
- 12 Periodocals (Indexing-level entries)
Each of these broad catagories is further subdivided into more narrowly-defined groups.
Each list gives detailed information on each of the indexed record groups and/or items. Entries are ordered by control number sequence within each of the major categories.
