Earth Day Recycled Crafts

Come celebrate Earth Day a little early and make fun crafts from recycled materials. Let's get crafty while helping the environment!

This is a drop-in program for families.

Art Lessons for Children: (CANCELLED) Ben's Bells Ceramic Bead Making

Let's help change our world through intentional kindness and make ceramic hanging wind chimes. Be Kind Illinois, which is part of the Ben's Bells Project, is calling on young artists to participate. (CANCELLED)

Art Lessons for Children

All art materials will be supplied - just bring your imagination and creativity to join local artist Brianna for a wonderful artistic journey. For children ages 4 and up.

Slavic Story Time

Come and explore Slavic tradition with stories, songs, and a craft. This program is presented by the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center at the UIUC. For children of all ages and their families.

USD #116 Art Display: A Boneyard Arts Festival Event

Urbana elementary school students will be displaying their creative art in Children's Services from April 4 - 16. Come see what these young artists have been working on.

Going Batty for Bats!

Come learn about one of the largest groups of mammals on earth. Members of the Sears Lab at the University of Illinois will be on hand to share photos, videos, and hands-on activities.

Library Staff at Read Across America

Read Across America has become one of the nation's largest reading events. All across the country, children and their families come together to hear stories, meet their favorite book characters, and participate in fun activities.

Join us at the Lincoln Square Mall in Urbana where staff from The Urbana Free Library will join the 17th Annual Read Across America Celebration. Come have some reading fun!
